College Era
I attended the College of Southern Nevada, 2013-2018.
Here I had formal art training to push my childhood passion into professionalism. Most of the courses that I took were taught by Professor Suzanne Acosta.
Another was withProfessor Anne Hoff.
Tiki & Toys
This large (18 x 24") charcoal drawing was done from a still life set up in the art studio, in Suzanne's class at the Cheyenne (aka North Las Vegas) campus.
Someone had stolen Suzan's titki from the set up and I had to finish that part from memory.
Caravaggio
This is oil paint on an un-streched canvas. I really loved the way the sienna ground was working using the subtraction method, removing paint with turpentine and cotton fabric.
